Motel Sign

It was a lot of fun. David Upton (CFO of Production School House where I work) and I drove up to Ottawa...David had some meetings and I had the IFVA AGM to attend. We stopped in Fredericton for a couple of meetings and decided to press on as far as we could and then stop and rest.

As the day wore on we decided to spend the night outside of Québec City. We saw a sign for a motel and pulled off the highway and into Lévis (across the river from Québec City). After following a few twists and turns through Lévis we found this place.

It was after dark and as we approached we knew that it was perfect... pink neon was glowing out and we pulled in. There even was a burned out "O" on the Motel sign over the building.

I live in Wolfville, which is just down the Annapolis Valley from Kentville. If you eat potato chips from a certain brand you'll notice that two of the places where they make their chips are in Kentville and Lévis, Québec...now I just have couple of places to the west and I'll have been to all of the chip plants...mmmm.

We went out to get some snacks and I got out the video camera and shot a bit of the glorious colour. I took this black and white picture the next day just before we left.
