Third Thursday Lunch The Third Thursday Lunches are back this year and will kick-off on September 25 when the Alumnae Association will host alums from the 1940’s. The Alumnae Association will continue to host a different decade every month throughout the year. This is a great way to visit with old friends and catch up with activities at your school. The luncheons are free and begin at 12:00. Check the Alumnae Calendar of events to see when we will be hosting your decade. We look forward to seeing you! Reaching for the Stars and the Suns Join us on September 17 for the dedication of the Veritas Research Center & Cybrary.  SAA-SDS Races for The Cure THE RACE IS ON and you can join the St. Agnes Team! Saturday, October 25 is race day at Saddle Creek. Join the St. Agnes team by registering online at www.raceforthecurememphis.org. Click Register in the top right corner. Scroll down under the listing of Teams by Division on the right, and click on St. Agnes - St. Dominic. You can participate in person or as a Spirit Runner, BUT PLEASE PARTICIPATE! Last year the SAA-SDS team raised over $7,000 to support the fight against breast cancer. Online Marketplace Support St. Agnes every time you shop online. Sign-up at www.iGive.com/saasds and have access to over 650 merchants who will give a percentage of your purchase amount to SAA-SDS. An Evening of Art St. Agnes is hosting “An Evening of Art,” the First Annual BRAVA! Art Show and Sale on Saturday, October 25 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in Siena Hall. Artwork from over 45 local artists will be featured for sale. The evening includes wine, hors d’oeuvres, and music. There is a $10 suggested donation at the door, and a percentage of all sales will benefit BRAVA! The Siena Fine Arts Program of St. Agnes Academy. Career Day On Thursday, February 19 the Upper School SGA will host career day, and we are looking for alumnae who would like to share their story and their career “wisdom” with current St. Agnes students. If you would be interested in participating, please email the alumnae office at gjordan@saa-sds.org. Dominican GALA and Auction This year’s GALA “The Great Outdoors...The Hunt is On!” will be March 28, 2009! The GALA committee is already hard at work planning an exciting evening filled with fun and fabulous auction items. If you are interested in donating auction items, becoming a sponsor or getting tickets, please email Tami Shepard at tshepard@saa-sds.org or call 901-435-5820. If you would like to be on the Acquisitions Committee, contact Angie Sneed @ sneed97@comcast.net. Also, there will be an Online Auction again this year. This auction will begin in October and be available for immediate bidding. Check it out and forward your wish list to Santa for Christmas.
