Share and Share Alike – Anthem Reading and More
The season opens with a delicious dinner after a meet and greet to introduce our new members and guests. Three choral directors/organists will present many choice anthems for us to sing—a chance for you to find the one or more anthems you will need for your choir season. Please bring organ literature that you no longer use, or have extra copies. These will all be displayed on tables for you to share and take unconditionally, at no cost.

A Skills Fair for Organists, Choir Directors, Other Musicians

Dr. David Brunner, Choral Director, UCF will present A Look at Vierne's Solemn Mass. Organist Glenn Osborne will present French Improvisation and Organist Ture Larson will present The Literature of Louis Vierne. A highlight of our season will be the performance of Vierne’s Solemn Mass in March on the seventy-fifth anniversary of the composer’s death. In preparation for this we encourage members to preview this marvelous work. Vierne was considered one of the greatest improvisateurs of his generation. Don't miss this opportunity to challenge your creativity, hone your technical skills and learn something new.

Gator Organ Crawl—A Co-Chapter Event with Gainesville AGO

The morning event takes us to the University of Florida organs and carillon. Councillor for Region IV, Dr. Laura Ellis, teaches at UF and her students will perform on several organs, including the 99 Rank Anderson Pipe Organ, and on the world-class 61-Bell Carillon in the Century Tower.

1:00 p.m. – tour three downtown churches and organs: First Presbyterian (Fisk) Holy Trinity (Visser-Rowland) and First United Methodist (Berghaus Rebuild of an M. P. M?ller). Carpooling can be arranged.

7:30 AM - Carpool to Gainsville 1)
Car poolers should meet at 7:30 am at Central Christian Church
250 Southwest Ivanhoe Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32804

Call John Reilly at 321-277-6194 if you wish to car pool

2)

The  Crawl will start at 10:00 am at the Century Tower at University of FL..

Those that want to climb the tower (don't forget to tell folks that there is no elevator and a climb of 11 stories) or return to the auditorium to try out the organ.
3)  Parking at UF

1) closest is the lot behind Tigert Hall. Tigert Hall is located on the Northeast side of campus (around SW 13th Street and SW 3rd Ave). The parking map indicates that this lot is 'gated', but on Saturday there is open parking. In the event that there is no parking in this lot on Saturday morning (can't really imagine it, but who knows?), then

2) parking garage 4 at the corner of Museum and Newell Drives.

Another Suggestion: Park in the First United Methodist Church lot, 421 NE First Street, behind the church on NE 2nd St.
Note that NE 2nd St is one-way going South; easiest access is to take NE 1st Street North for 3 blocks, turn R., go 2 blocks; turn R again on NE 2nd St. & look for the parking lot on the R, across from the park.

Lunch 'on your own'
Lunch is on your own, or in a room reserved at Fat Tuscan, 725 NE 1st Street, Gainesville with other participants
