VERIFIED VOTING NEW MEXICO

Verified Voting New Mexico will hold a special post election meeting on Nov 20 at 3pm in Santa Fe (at the Unitarian Church).  The event will include a short presentation followed by organization of action groups to create a verified voting system in NM.  A press release is available below.

Over 90 people attended Verified Voting New Mexico's first press conference in the rotunda of the New Mexico Legislature Roundhouse on February 18, 2004. Speakers expressed deep concern over New Mexico's premature plans to implement touch screen voting in the face of massive problems with these systems experienced nationwide.

Nearly 300 people attended the "computer ate my vote" rally on August 13th at the roundhouse.  A petition calling for robust verified voting systems signed by over 1% of New Mexico's registered voters was delivered to New Mexico secretary of state.
