Mi scrive Charles Taylor
Oggi ho ricevuto una e-mail da qualcuno che dice di
chiamarsi David
Alete e di essere l'assistente personale di
Charles
Taylor, il famigerato ex-presidente della
Liberia.
Descrive la situazione in cui si trovano lui e il presidente, e chiede l'aiuto
di collaboratori oltreoceano per trasferire in un posto sicuro i soldi di Taylor
prima che siano tutti confiscati.
Ho pensato subito a un qualche strano tipo di spam, molto intellettuale e poco divertente, ma la cosa più buffa è che nonostante l'indirizzo e-mail indicato sia un "katamail.com", analizzando l'intestazione completa ho scoperto che l'indirizzo IP (80.88.129.18) da cui si direbbe provenga appartiene alla Emperion, una ditta danese che fornisce internet via satellite all'Africa e al Medio Oriente. In particolare, la persona da contattare in caso di problemi relativi a quello e ad altri numeri IP consecutivi risulta essere un signore che sta in Nigeria, ovvero il paese in cui al momento si trova Taylor.
Boh, per ora ho trovato solo una e-mail simile alla mia a questo indirizzo. Se qualcuno ha notizie relative a questa cosa, mi scriva pure. Qui di seguito, riporto la lettera:
Hello, A very good day to you. It may amaze you to be unduelly contacted this way for a pending transaction, and more especially that you do not know me personally.
I am DAVID ALETE,Personal assistance to Charles Taylor, the former President of Liberia. As you may know, he has recently stepped down from power and is presently on assylum in Nigeria.
The purpose of my letter is to ask if you can render the assistance requested, and to bring you to bear my present position and the very need for a true and solicited help with respect to Ex President, Taylor.

I have been mandated to seek and find a relaible person, based overseas, that can offer the help of securing some or all of the funds in question.
We all have been confined to Calabar, and all our calls are monitored.
So i will use all the available contact to give you all the information you will need.Only few weeks ago, the international body insisted that all our guards be disarmed and security measures for our movements tightened.
If this proposal satisfies you, do respond to this letter and forward to me your phone and fax number to facilitate contacts,Otherwise no offence meant. Please treat as urgent and confidential.
