Seasons Greetings

Christmas 2000

Dear Friends,

From Time Immemorial Man has tried to define the good or happy life and, obviously, there are many factors involved. Successfully raising a family, and particularly a supportive one, and achieving fulfillment in one's work or profession are very important. Maintaining a happy state or frame or mind is paramount. Making a maximum effort to do one's very best is essential so that there will be no regrets. Treating everyone with respect and encouragement is also important as it adds to the circle of our friendships and adds additional meaning to our lives.

At the age of four score and ten I realize today more than ever before how important family and friends are, and how helpful they have been in my life. They have not only enabled me to meet adverse circumstances but have been supportive at every turn and at every request. Traveling and working on behalf of social causes has provided me with the opportunity of meeting many new friends, all of whom have given me much happiness and inspiration. One cannot place a value on friendships for they are incalculable. How true it is that "no man is an island unto himself." One cannot start too soon to acquire friends.

De Grellit said "I shall pass through this world but once. If, therefore, through any kindness I can show, or any good I can do, let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

Pat and I are thankful for our family and friends and wish you the best of this Seasons Greetings, and our very Best Wishes for the Year 2001.
