Garmish, Germany, August 2005
This was our first trip, just 2 weeks after we arrived in England. Craig attended a conference; Lydia, Justin and Kaden were able to come along.

It rained a good deal, but we made friends.
City center at Garmish.
It rained so much that there were major floods.
The scenery was still nice.
The roads were blocked and we made the news.
Even in Germany...
Das McDonald's!!
Kaden just can't stand still!! Doing a dance for nuggets.
The juice boxes in Germany are huge.
Lydia and the boys found some sunshine.
Kaden didn't appreciate the scenery as much.
The mountains were gorgeous.
Lydia peddled the paddle boat all over Eibsee.
We can't wait to go back when all 4 of us can enjoy.
One day, Craig had some time off for some fun.
This was like a bobsled on wheels.
The ride was really fast and we all had fun.
It was a good family day out.
Lydia won the prize for fastest ride!
One of Justin's friends that he met at the conference.
Justin and Craig had fun at the hotel pool...
And the hotel hot tub!
This was Justin's favorite part!
On the last day we rode the Alpspitzbahn.
That is the cable car up the Alpspitz mountain.
It's the 2nd highest mountain in Germany. The views were amazing.
Garmish sits in a little valley with great views.
Justin and Kaden on top of the Alpspitz.
Looking back down where we came from.
This was our favorite part of the whole trip.
Afterwards, we went for a nature walk.
Even though the rains had stopped, the water is high.
The whole area that we visited was beautiful.
Craig liked spending some time with the whole family.
We plan on returning for holiday sometime soon.
