Foon Hay Seniors Golf Club

2009 Club Championship Procedures

For 2009, Foon Hay will recognize Club Champions in four categories. We trust the competition will be intense and fun. To make the championship more available to the club members, we will follow the following procedures.
a. Four tournaments will be designated "CC" or Club Championship tournaments. Scores shot during these four rounds will count towards the Club Championship.

Laguna Seca - CC

Crow Canyon - CC

b. In order to be named one of the Club Champions, a player must play in at least two (2) of the four "CC" tournaments.

c. Winners will be based on the total of the two (2) best scores relative to par out of the ones played during "CC" tournaments. For example, if you have a net score of 72 on a par-70 course, your CC score will be +2. If your net score is 68 on a par-72 course, your CC score will be -4.

d. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

Net Scores - Men's A Flight, Men's B Flight, Ladies A Flight, Ladies B Flight

Gross Scores - Men, Ladies

e. Club Championship prizes will be awarded at the Holiday Dinner. Tournament prizes will also be awarded for each of the individual tournaments.

f. Flights have been assigned for the 2009 championship series. You will remain in the same flight, even if you are put into a different flight for an individual tournament. The maximum handicap in any flight will be 18 strokes greater than the minimum handicap.

Q - How do you enter the Club Championship competition?

A - Sign up and play in two or more of the tournaments marked "CC" on the main page of this web site.

Q - What do I win if I'm Club Champion?

A - Admiration, respect, and congratulations from the other club members. And a handsome trophy to adorn your mantel. Sometimes accompanied by claims of sandbagging, but no one's perfect!

Best of luck to everyone. Have fun!
