Description

In this essay, you will attempt to describe something. What you wish to describe is up to you, but try and make is something interesting. For example, you might describe an interesting person, a cool painting, your residence hall, etc. For this assignment, try to focus on concrete details and keep your own feelings secondary. Try to describe something so that somebody else can picture it exactly as it really is.
This is the first draft of the description essay, so don’t get too freaked out if it isn’t perfect. However, since we are studying thesis statements this week, try to include a strong thesis statement in this first draft.
Your essay should be 1-2 pages long and must be Times New Roman 12pt font with one-inch margins. You don’t have to have more than a page, but essays shorter than a full page will receive a lower grade.
