Toroki was a member of the Byakko Seven, celestial warriors sworn to protect the Priestess of Byakko from harm. Together with the other Byakko Seishi, Toroki protected the Byakko no Miko about 90 years before the Suzaku and Seiryuu no Mikos ever entered the world of the book. By the time the series begins, he/she is long dead as well as most of his/her other companions.
