My name is Lin and my very short meeting with Les was on Friday 24th January 2003 in Glasgow Scotland. I had been to see him live a number of times but never been lucky enough to be that close to utter a word to him but this time was different and very special to me.
After a very special live performance of great entertainment Les joined his band at the hotel bar and I was there waiting to be served and I managed to buy the man himself a drink. He kindly agreed to sign a photo for me and later came over to our table and I grasped the opportunity to get my photo taken with him. He made us laugh whilst it was being taken by saying it's not a movie your shooting only a photo; thankfully Lyn, my mate didn't laugh too much as the photo came out brilliantly and it's got it's place of honour on my message board (Friends of Alan Longmuir). And so a happy memory is made only by a short meeting but a special one all the same.
