Random thoughts from his grown fans, on finally meeting an untouchable man.

After the great concert, Les was signing autographs. Fortunately for us it was a very informal setting allowing us the opportunity to meet and talk with Les and all the band members. As the evening went on and others had left, we were all still having fun and decided to move on to where Les and the band were staying. How fun was this! For awhile it was just Les and us. We asked him lots of questions, laughed a lot and made raunchy jokes. The best part though was sharing stories not only about our Roller memories, but about our families, life and aging. Les kept saying, Im 40, Im old Then Ariane said, well my husband is 46, then Diane said my boyfriend is 58!!! That should have made him feel better. He really was the great person we knew he would be.

We all partied into the wee hours and before we left Diane wanted to call her sister, where she was staying, to let her know we were on are way. Les grabbed the phone and told her who he was and joked about our partying. She never got over that. Eventually Les went to his room and the surreal evening ended. We will always cherish that fun and private time with Les. In fact it still seems too good to be true.

The concert the next night was great and a little more formal. There were lots of true blue roller fans, including some women who had been sitting right next to us at that magical concert in 1977. We actually recognized each other and re-lived our great moments. Les sang beautifully, as always, and as he sang, he looked us in our eyes just as he did 19 years before and we melted all over again.
