Random thoughts from his grown fans, on finally meeting an untouchable man.

Everyone was singing, waving the Tartan, screaming. You could barely hear them. It was loud. If i remember it right...Leslie had on the black long jacket trimed in tartan, no shirt and white pants. I wished I still had my pictures from this, but I don't. Would have been great to share those with you.

Fast forward to 1995 - I think it was...
After giving up hope of never seeing the Rollers again, I was forced to face my past. My supervisor at work came up to me and asked me: "Aren't you a big fan of the Bay City Rollers?". "Well, yes." I replied back. He then told me that he had just heard on the radio that they were coming to Atlanta. I thold he was crazy and that they had broken up and that THAT was never gonna happen. Then I asked him where he had heard that. "99x." he said. 99x is a radio station here in Atlanta. NOT a radio station known to be playing BCR music, much less talking about them. So I tuned in. And of course, I heard it myself. They were coming to Atlanta. So I went and bought my tickets.

Next I had to figure out how to get there. I knew my husband wouldn't go....soo. The next likely subject....I asked my dad. "Dad, how would you like to relive a bit of the past with me?". My father looked at me with his smiling eyes and asked me, "And how is that?" I looked at him sheepishly and asked the ultimate question, "Do you want to go see the Bay City Rollers with me?" My dad just smiled, my mother rolled her eyes. My dads response was, "Not this time. I just don't think I need to do that." My mother on the other hand said this, "Oh no! Here we go again!" So...Wayne did finally commit to go with me. And I also found out it was Les. Well, that would be good. Ian was also with him at that time. We went to the show at the Masquerade. It was an amazing show. THIS time, I had my tartan. Haha...I laughed now at the image of a 30something year old woman waving tartan...tooo funny. Les did all the old Roller songs and he did some of his stuff that I wasn't familiar with. I didn't get to meet him there. But I saw and I heard him and it was great.

It is so nice to relive the past. And the Rollers were alot of my past... continued on next page...
