I will meet Les for the first time in July at Rave 2003. I didn't grow up listening to his music but a good friend is a huge fan.
Six years ago the military transferred my family to Chattanooga, TN. It was there that I had the good fortune of meeting Dawn. I knew immediately that we would be friends for life.
I remember one Halloween she dressed up in this wacky outfit. I asked her what she was supposed to be. She said "a Bay City Roller". That was the beginning of my BCR/Les education. You see, without even knowing it, I've been "in training" for Rave 2003 for 6 years.
I received an email from Dawn with a plea -- Help, Rave is having a contest. Whoever gets the most people to come to Rave 2003 gets to take the shirt off of Les' back. Well, what are friends for? Sign me up! In my eyes there could be no one more deserving of this once in a lifetime opportunity than Dawn. Having not seen each other for 4 years, this would also be a great opportunity to get together and do some catching up.
I can't wait to meet the man I've heard so much about. The Sexy Scottish Rocker who makes my friend so happy!
