Random thoughts from his grown fans, on finally meeting an untouchable man.

I first saw Les in 1976 at Steel Pier New Jersey concert,USA.This was my first roller concert and my first concert ever.I was 14 years old at the time.My seats were pretty far back but once the music started I yelled to my friends lets run down front.I got as far as being right in the middle and right in front of Les.Now mind you Eric was my fave so to me this was not good enough to be just in front of Les.But oh boy was he ever good looking. It was so surreal to see them there live and singing after just seeing them in magazines or on TV.Now Les had on this coat as a recall that was open and no shirt underneath.I recall being embarrassed to look at his bare chest.I kept looking over at Eric and screaming his name, but my eyes kept coming back to this man with the beautiful voice. It was the best concert and I wished it could have gone on forever.

Fast forward to June 2002, LRM fan rave in Atlanta GA USA. I and my good buddie Cathie attended. The first time I saw Les was in the hotel Lobby. Now Eric is still my fave and pretty much everyone else there, Les is their fave. Who do you think went to say hi to Les? The Eric girl.I put out my hand to him and introduced myself as Virginia from New York. To which Les replied, Oh what Virgin. I told him not with four kids I am not. He said, you can be still in your mind as he pointed to his head and walked away.

Okay now what do I think. I just met this man and did he insult me or what? I can assure you I found out this is just his sense of humour as we all learned as the weekend went on.
I put my experience at Rave right up there with my first Roller concert. Memories I will never forget. Maybe thats what Les meant about being a Virgin. You don't forget your first time.
