Random thoughts from his grown fans, on finally meeting an untouchable man.

Tammy T.

I have been a fan of Les since I was 13 years old, now I'm 41. I remember when I first heard of "The Bay City Rollers" in 1975, they were like nothing I had ever seen before. I just thought Les was the sexiest thing. He has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I love his Scottish accent. I feel the same about him today as I did all those years ago. Over the years his voice has been a comfort to me when times have been bad. I had lost contact of what had happened to him, then in 2000 my son Kevin, who is now 19 years old, came home from school with information about Les and what he was doing. He had gotten it off the internet. I couldn't believe it! Now everyday I try to look at www.lesmckeown.com to see what's going on. The web site has been a dream come true for me. Through it I met Les for the first time on June 26, 2002. The day before I was standing in the lobby at the Sheraton Colony Square in Atlanta while waiting on my husband. I was just standing there and through the front door walked in Les and Lori. I thought I was going to pass out my heart was racing so much.

The next morning is when I met him at the bowling alley. Me and my husband were sponsors. I could see how humble he was and that he didn't think he was better than anybody else. He had been my idol all these years, and this just brought him down to earth for me. Seeing he was just a regular guy made me love him even more. I was lucky to also get to ride back to the hotel in the same vehicle as him.

The concert that night was great! It was like a dream come true after all these years. He was all I could have hoped for, and if all goes well I'll be seeing him again this year in New Orleans.
