Bush: Less than honorable...

The power of faith is amazing. It seems we can believe anything damn the facts.

So Bush is a man of God? Bush is honorable? Yep you can believe anything with just a little bit of faith.

Ok, I can accept that he doesn't want to meet with Cindy Sheehan again. I mean if she wanted to rip him a new asshole she had her chance right? I understand that Bush has to have balance in his life and meeting with Cindy Sheehan two-whole-times might just throw things all out of wack and send him back to the bottle or something. So that's fine, you gotta take care of number one, right?

Here's my problem though, Bush and his supporters pretend they honor the sacrifice of all military families. Bush acknowledges that this war divides our country (apparently into patriots and those who give aid and comfort to terrorists). If Bush were a Christian (turn the other cheek and all that) and if he really cared about all the soldiers and all their families, he would stand up for Cindy Sheehan. Yep, that's right George "praise Jesus" Bush would defend the grieving mother, who blames him for the death of her son, the woman who calls him a liar and a terrorist. He would ask all of America to respect all Gold Star families whatever their position on the war or party affiliation. He would tell all of America to stop attacking all Gold Star families, period.

And then he would tell America why we have to stay in Iraq and what it will really cost us in blood and resources. Isn't that what a strong honorable Christian leader would do?
(Hint: the answer is yes.)
