Every summer since our Canadian Rockies bicycling honeymoon in 1983, we have been taking kids all over the world on cycling journeys. Japan, Ireland, France, Austria, Canada, Italy, all over North America and across the United States — twice. Last summer over a dozen middle schoolers joined us for a two week adventure in British Columbia, and before we even got back they were asking where we were heading this summer. Since it is Jacob’s last summer home, we let him choose the spot. He wants to go back for seconds in northern Italy, to reride the mountains and valleys we rode there two summers ago and to return to the farm kitchens where he and his friends spent hours learning to cook local Italian specialties we never heard of. So, fasten your apron, hop on your bike and click yourself to the courses above. You’ll get a glimpse of what’s cooking this summer.
