Teaching Assistant, California State University at San Bernardino, April 1996—December 1996: Three Internships in English and English Composition, 1994-95: at California State University, San Bernardino under the direction of Professor Bruce Golden; at the University of California, Riverside, under the supervision of Assistant Director of English 1C, Michael Heumann; and at Crafton Hills College, under the supervision of Liberal Arts Department Chair, Mark Snowhite. Duties included: assisting with the teaching of classes, both in groups and with individual students. Related Work Tutor for the Adult Literacy Program at the A.K. Smiley Public Library, April 2003 — May 2005. Duties include: completing literacy program training, working with one adult student on a weekly basis to help the student develop reading skills, and filing monthly progress reports. Duties included: coordinating meetings and organizing all social events and fundraising for graduate students; arranging library tours for graduate students; acting as intermediary between faculty and students. Office Manager for Mosaic, UCR's literary magazine, for the 1990-91 academic year. Duties included: organizing submissions, coordinating schedules for editors, and assisted in public relations.
