Access Keys provide handy shortcuts to main areas of the site. The keys available are only those items that appear on that page. However, and Top of page function on every page of the site. Up, Previous and Next are available on many pages. The current list of Access Keys on this site is:

  • 0 - Site Map/Access Keys
  • U - Up one level
  • P - Previous
  • I - Index
  • N - Next
  • T - Top of page
How to Use Access Keys:
  1. Internet Explorer 5+: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key, then press ENTER.
  2. Internet Explorer 4: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key.
  3. Internet Explorer 5+, Firefox, and Safari for Mac: Hold down the CTRL key and select the number/letter of the access key.
  4. Internet Explorer 4.5 for Mac: Access keys are not supported.
  5. Netscape 6+: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key.
  6. Netscape earlier versions: Access keys are not supported.
  7. Mozilla: Hold down the ALT key and select the number/letter of the access key.
  8. Opera: In sequence press SHIFT then ESC and then select the number/letter of the access key.

Navigation Aids

  1. Headline navigation is available in some browsers, such as Opera.

Other Features/Issues

  1. This site is written in valid XHTML and CSS and is structurally semantic, including headers. The pages should also be functional without stylesheets.
  2. Font sizes are mostly relative and resizable. There is breadcrumb navigation at the bottom of each page (e.g., see "Home» Sitemap» Access Keys" at the bottom of this page).
  3. Javascript: the blog comments requires javascript to function.
  4. Store: Clicking on some links opens a new window. It is sometimes the best way to manage these links so visitors won't get lost.
