GOOD KNIGHT MacGYVER I
Episode 7-07 [132]
4 November 1991
MacGyver seeks information on his family name, traced back to the 7th century. As Pete and MacGyver are walking down the street a few minutes later, a blow to the head sends him back to the era of King Arthur. He takes part in a joust against Sir Duncan and triumphs. Merlin feels humiliated by his abilities and tries to discredit him in the court as an evil sorcerer. Then King Arthur is poisoned, and the young page who prepares his meals is executed in retribution. Duncan also asserts that the page was paid by Merlin. MacGyver's futuristic ways are a threat to Merlin, but he also proves that Merlin didn't poison the king and saves him from being burned at the stake. Having demonstrated their bravery, the two are sent by King Arthur into Caledonia to rescue Galahad's betrothed, Cecilia, and to clear the M'Iver name.
MacGyver: You killed him! He didn't have a chance.
Sir Duncan: A just punishment for the crime.
MacGyver: How do you know he was the one?
Sir Duncan: He admitted his guilt.
