MacGyver is called to the police station late one night to talk to Lisa Woodman, his young teenage friend, who was found asleep at a burglarized home. The maid was lying unconscious at the foot of the stairs. The family was on vacation, and Lisa was a friend of the family so she found the key and let her new older friends in to party there. MacGyver tries to get Lisa to admit she has an alcohol problem that has already led to her involvement with Holly and Brett and failing grades in school. A day later the situation worsens when the maid dies in the hospital. Holly, a high school senior, finally admits to MacGyver that her boyfriend Brett plans to harm Lisa to save the others from criminal charges. MacGyver goes to their home and must deal with Brett, who is armed, before he can look for Lisa. Brett has dumped her, drunk and unconscious, in the family car and started the engine so that the carbon monoxide will kill her. When she comes around, she hits the accelerator, but the car ends up at the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean. MacGyver rescues Lisa from the vehicle with only moments to spare.
MacGyver: Crawl to me, come on... that's it.
Lisa: I'm sorry, MacGyver.
MacGyver: It's okay, baby... it's okay.
