THE GUN

MacGyver and Pete are sponsoring a conservation program at a local school, but when Breeze doesn't show up, MacGyver becomes concerned and discovers that Breeze is facing murder charges. He is innocent but was at the scene because of his friend Rudy, a drug pusher. The gun that did the killing is legendary and sought by a foreign anarchist for its reputation. Todd Fowler traded the gun, part of his father's collection, to Rudy for a little cocaine, and when he realizes it's worth a fortune, he seeks out Rudy to get it back. They fight over it, and Rudy is accidentally killed. Todd flees the scene and makes a deal to sell the gun for $50,000. Meanwhile, MacGyver has traced the gun to the Fowler family and talks with Todd's sister Laura, who is concerned about her brother. They are all taken at gunpoint to the harbor, where they are put in a cargo hold to keep them out of the way until the ship is out to sea. Todd arrives at the pier with the gun, and as soon as the arms dealer has it in his possession, Todd is knocked unconscious by one of his men. MacGyver, Breeze, and Laura escape the cargo bin, and the criminals are apprehended. Later there is a ceremony where many guns taken from murder scenes are burned.
Pete: Well, that's about a thousand guns that nobody's going to use on anyone else.
MacGyver: A thousand down, and only 100 million to go.
