THE LOST AMADEUS

After a Sunday morning ride MacGyver is knocked down when a passing Cadillac hits his bike. Lulu jumps out of the car and offers to give MacGyver a ride home. Instead MacGyver ends up at a mansion where a violin virtuoso is being held by crooks demanding the "Amadeus", a priceless violin he recently bought in Europe. Lulu sets up a meeting that night at a Roaring Twenties Bash, where she and MacGyver will deliver the violin in exchange for Izzy, the violinist. The crooks appear at the party in vintage cop costumes waving guns, real ones. To hide the violin Lulu exchanges it for one owned by a member of the band. At the shipping depot the two get the address of Arnold Tubbs, Violin Repair and Sales. At Tubbs' shop they find Izzy tied up. Tubbs appears and ties up MacGyver also, taking Lulu to get the violin. By starting a small fire in a trashcan MacGyver arranges an escape. Back at the party his arrival elicits a volley of gunshots from Tubbs, but Lulu confuses Tubbs with a barrage of psychological chatter. Up on a ladder and out of reach, he becomes disoriented and falls, dropping the Amadeus, which MacGyver catches before it hits the floor.
MacGyver: Nervous?
Lulu: Yeah.
MacGyver: Well, I woudn't worry. We'll get Izzy back.
Lulu: Oh, I know. That's not what I'm nervous about...
