Opening Gambit: A helicopter touches down in Choco, Columbia, bringing supplies to an outpost. MacGyver is hidden in a hot tub crate in order to rescue Alexander Shannon, an American journalist kidnapped by the drug cartel. MacGyver builds a flying machine from plastic bags, bamboo, a fan, and duct tape. Amazingly, it flies.
Alexander: I guess we'll just have to wait another ten days.
MacGyver: I don't think you or my makeup will last that long.
