Jimmy Kendall returns in his new identity as Lou Rizzo, baseball coach for the Bluebirds. He is coaching his best player, pitcher Dave Malone, in his face off with Hank Aaron. However, Jimmy's appearance in the media has drawn the attention of Ralph, the hitman who thought he had killed him. He and Sal must cover their mistake by making sure Jimmy is dead, so they kidnap Jimmy's daughter Susan and her son. They then contact Jimmy and tell him to come alone to Papa Chuck's old cannery operation. Since Pete is trying to relocate Jimmy again, MacGyver is assigned to watch him. Jimmy takes MacGyver to church, but this is a trick in order to obtain a gun from the "priest". He knocks MacGyver down so that he can go alone to the cannery, but rather quickly MacGyver tracks him there. Jimmy tells Susan and his grandson to break out the windows and run while he makes noise to cover their escape. Meanwhile, Ralph shoots MacGyver, although he soon surfaces and drags himself back up onto the pier. He follows them into the cannery and interrupts their confrontation with Jimmy by causing a steam valve to explode.
Jimmy: Not many guys would take a bullet for a friend.
MacGyver: What do you say we don't make a habit of that, friend.
