The Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum not only preserves in its archives records and artifacts of Vallejo’s past, it works to brighten the City’s future by exciting after School programs, innovative exhibits both local and national, intellectually stimulating Roundtables, and concerts as well as many other public services.  In addition, the
Museum Bookshop is Vallejo’s only full service bookstore.




Vallejo Beautification Advisory Commission

Helping Leaders and Citizens to Create a More Beautiful City...

This commission advises the City Council on issues of landscape,
greenscape, and urban reforestation.  They sponsor the annual Arbor Day Celebration, the city-wide School anti-litter poster contest, the annual Holiday Tree Lighting, and the Vallejo Garden Tour.

The Joint Committee for the Garden Tour is made up of 3 members each from the Museum Board of Directors (VNHM), and from the Vallejo Beautification Advisory Commission (BAC), and one representative appointed from the community at large.  Two Co-Chairs, one from the Board, and one from the Commission, share the leadership.
