A Note from the Chair of the Joint Committee, Joyce Venturini...

joyce venturini
A Symphony of Gardens is the theme for the sixth annual Vallejo Garden Tour
scheduled for May 17th, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, benefiting the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum.  Seven gardens laced with live music, gazebos, fountains and shady places, plus a tour of Mare Island’s Alden Park and historic mansion garden hit the high note for the tour this year.

From a garden that feels like a walk in the redwoods, the ultimate outdoor garden dining room, to garden art and then some...make this a don’t miss.
Master gardeners will be available to answer questions and provide helpful gardening tips.

A sumptuous buffet lunch will be served at the Museum and lemonade served by costumed gentry will be served at the Mansion accompanied by live music.

So, bring your camera and your appetite !

Serving on the Beautification Advisory Commission is rewarding
because we get to do some fun things to spruce up Vallejo, like
advise the planting of city trees, coordinate the annual Arbor Day
and the Holiday Tree Lighting events, participate in the anti-graffiti
paint out, and assist with Code Enforcement issues, as well as
help coordinate the always popular Vallejo Garden Tour.

The Garden Tour is the Beautification Commission's only
fundraising event, so  please join us to have a great time and
to give us much needed support!

Tickets are $30.00 for general public

and $25.00 for Museum members.

Tickets will be available beginning April l, 2009 at:
