Tampa Peace Vigil, March 18, 2005

Over 50 people from various groups came to the Federal Courthouse for a Peace Vigil on the second anniversary of the war in Iraq.

A colorful banner declared our wish for peace.
For some it was their first demonstration.
For others just one of many in a lifetime of activism.
Homemade signs expressed heartfelt concerns.
Clergy and retired clergy were present.

We asked them to honk and they did!
The afternoon rush hour drivers responded well.

A WMNF reporter interviewed some of us.

Even dogs want peace!

WMNF is at it again! 88.5 FM We love you!
We lined the street inviting cars to honk their support.

We gathered for a closing prayer.

We prayed that we would not need to return next year.

Many drivers honked their horns to show their support.
