Baptized, Confirmed, and made her First Holy Communion into the
Christian faith as a child. She grew up in Farmington, Minnesota
and attended Farmington schools.
Lorraine and her high school sweetheart, Bob
Mandell fell in love and were married on November 8, 1938. This
past year, they celebrated 67 years together. Lorraine spent her
life loving and raising her seven children, along with 35 foster
children. She had a lot of love to pass around. Bob and Lorraine

Lorraine 'Loved To Tell The Story' and took
her faith around the world. She never went anywhere without her
beloved 'Jesus' button. As a gift to their Mom, the kids had 500
replicas of the pin made. Lorraine took those buttons on her travels
to China and the Holy Lands and passed them out to everyone she
met.
In their later years, Lorraine and Bob
enjoyed winters on Padre Island, Texas. Lorraine loved collecting
seashells along the shore. Bob painted beautiful pictures and
messages about the Lord inside the shells. They walked the beach
and dropped the painted shells back into the sand, and got such
joy from seeing people 'find' them.
Lorraine was an avid Bible reader, often
reading into the wee hours of the morning. She and Jesus were
best friends, and we know that she is right by His side, looking
down on us now.
