Wish List

Check out my Film Festival iCalendar (scroll down since many of the events are later in the day and click on the "Next Week" button to check the following week). In a perfect world, these are all the flicks I'd like to see if I didn't have work or money to worry about. Plus, my tolerancy to take in more than two movies a day is pretty low (although there was that one night I watched "Seven" and "The Usual Suspects" at different theatres).

Particularly depressing are the scheduled times for Roger Ebert's "Democracy In The Dark," a great festival event that has Chicago Sun-Times film critic Ebert dissecting a classic film on DVD scene by scene, shot by shot. Depressing because the seminars start at a work-unfriendly hour of 3:30 on a weekday afternoon. Ebert usually does the seminar every other year (in 2000 he screened Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo") and the discussions are always very illuminating with a high amount of audience participation. This year's movie is Citizen Kane.
