Herpetofauna Workers Meeting

Last weekend Coventry played host to the second Herpetofauna Workers Meeting organised by the revitalised ARG UK.

The meeting consisted of talks and workshops split over two days, with a healthy dose of socialising thrown in for good measure. The quality of talks was excellent, with topical subjects being presented by a [insert non-offensive collective term for people who work with reptiles and amphibians - suggestions by email please...] of dedicated herpetologists.

Talks covered a wide range of subjects including the impact of climate change, surveying great crested newts and other herps, sustainable drainage systems and proposed changes to protected species legislation. A number of people really pulled out all the stops to make this event work so well. KRAG would like to congratulate Jan Clemons, Chris Gleed-Owen, David Orchard, John Baker, and all of the speakers and workshop leaders for making the weekend such an enjoyable event.

Special thanks must go to Jim Foster. Not only did Jim present a talk and lead a workshop, but he also delivered the legendary 'Have I Got Newts for You'!!

Well done to all!
