Great Crested Newt Survey Workshop

Fifteen people  coming from KRAG, the pond warden scheme,  and individuals interested in taking part in the great crested newt project met up at at a wind swept Coldharbour Farm, Wye on Saturday 25th February.

The BTCV workshop included both theory sessions and 2 practical Trips to a local pond - one in daylight and one after dark.

"So, why are we here again?!"

We covered all aspects of great crested newt ecology and went away a lot wiser for our visits to local ponds this coming season. Thanks to Lee Brady and Mike Philips for an interesting and above all fun day - and not forgeting Jason and the Stour Valley Project mini bus!
