First Kent Adder of 2006
Although adders have been out and about in other
parts of the country since the middle of February, survey work for early
emergence in Kent has proved frustratingly futile.
Kevin Johnson has now sent me this year's first
record of a Kent adder. Despite continuing cold temperatures a lone adult male
was tempted out basking at Coxhill Mount on Sunday (19/3/06).
