Some Interesting Optional Rules
Chaos Pool: If you've added a large number of Chaos units through the Chaos or Werebeast expansion packs, they can start popping up all over the place. This is not necessarily a bad thing, and it doesn't necessarily seem to create imbalance, but it definately changes the flavor of the game substantially. To prevent this from happening, allow each player to secretly select 5 Chaos units before play begins - remove the rest from the game.
- Allies: Do not allow allies unlimited communication. Allies may discuss their plans to their heart's content before the scenario begins, but they may not discuss the game once play has started. Add a cost 2 spell, Mind Link, which is cast during the movement phase. If two (or more) Allied players cast the Mind Link spell during the same movement phase, they may discuss strategy and such for up to two minutes (use any of the commonly available sand timers). In free-for-all games, this may also be required before two players may initiate negotiations.
