Surprise Attack



Matchups: Appropriate matchups are: Elven or Ferkin defender vs. Dwarven or Undead attacker; Barbarian defender vs. any attacker; Amazon defender vs. Elven, Ferkin, or Undead attacker.

Setup:
Purchase units simultaneously. The Defender sets up first.
Attacker:
115GP worth of units. Attacking units enter from off-board on turn 1.
Defender: 85GP worth of units. All Castles must be purchased and set up on board 1, no more than one per city. Purchased Wizard units may not start with more than 1s. Set up at least two units in each city on board 1. Set up at least one unit in each city on board 4.

Matchup notes: Elves always receive one fewer unit in their Chaos pool. Dwarves & Ferkin get one extra Chaos unit in their pool. Against defending Barbarians, all armies get one extra unit Chaos unit in their pool.

Special Rules
1. Both players may use a chaos pool of up to 4 units.
2. The North and West edges of the northern board are friendly to the Attacker.
3. Attacking at-start units enter on turn one through any friendly board-edge hex.
4.
The Attacker has 5GP of off-board production. This may be used to increase the strength of on-board units normally, or may be used to purchase new units. Newly purchased units enter the following turn on any firendly board ege.
5. The Defender may not move on turn 1. Defender units on board 4 may not move on turn 2. The Attacker automatically moves first on turns 1 and 2.
6. There is no production on the first turn.

Victory: The Attacking player wins by holding at least 10GP worth of Defending cities at the end of turn 10.
