Guitar

I used a Martin Acoustic Guitar – Special Edition 1997 SPDC16TR with a Direct Output from the preamp out by Fishmann.  All EQS set to flat and the new Woodpecker Ribbon microphone by Blue located at about the 12th fret approximately 6 inches from the guitar in a sound proof, dead room.


Bass

Fender Precision Bass, one of the most recognized bass sounds in the industry, plugged directly in through means of a J48 Active Direct Box made by Radial Engineering.  This then plugged into a TC Electronic 24D Interface. 


Honer Marine Band Harmonicas

I used a couple of different harmonicas in various keys.


Kazoos


Vocals

Vocals for The Magic Room were recorded using a vintage U47.
Remaining vocals were recorded on Neumann TLM 49, which also uses the U47 cartridge.
