Homer is 18 mo old, 9 lb.
He was almost 15 lb at one time. The extra weight caused knee problems. I talked to the vet and he had a grade 3 patella luxation. This has disappeared with weight loss. Now at 9 lb and headed for 8 lb.
In his home he lacked a pack leader. They complained he would bite strangers who entered their home and barked non-stop. Since coming into rescue we have set bounders and limits. They have been working. Have found he likes quiet people . They seem to make him feel safe.
He has a lot of puppy habits. Loves to play fetch and pack toys around. Will pull on my pant leg to get attention. Begs the other dogs to play more and longer. Will jump up and take a dangling hand in his mouth. Not to bite, playfully. Often does not come when called.
I hope to find Homer a forever home that would be interested in taking him to obedience class. Aging and obedience classes will allow Homer to become a great pet.
He is ok with cats. Has not been around children. Plays wild and rough with my teenagers.
