Disney World - Day 4
After we had covered the essentials in a 3 day whirlwind tour trough the
very crowded parks, the last day is dedicated to the outer layers of the Disney
universe. Starting with Breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge, one of the themed
on-site hotels - this one with a north-western mountain log-cabin theme. The
restaurant features some of the loudest and most obnoxious waiters, which the
kids obviously find very amusing... After taking the monorail around the lake to
the other themed resorts, we spend some time at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, to
just look around at the set, take some pictures and go on some of the rides we
missed earlier, now with significantly less crows than the days
before.

After
spend the last 4 days in the various parks, things are starting to become a bit
of a blur. However fancy and sophisticated a ride or attraction is, familiar
pattern emerge. No matter what the story behind it, there is usually a fight
between forces of good and evil or at least some kind of danger, which is safely
averted and at the end of every epic journey, there is a
gift-shop...
But no matter what, Disney surely does a good job of
telling a story and create an illusion in amazingly elaborate and sophisticated
ways, shying no effort and cost in the process. Seeing an operation of that
scale run that smoothly is truly impressive. But after a while all that
superficial perfection gets a bit boring and it's good to be back in the real
world, with all its messy, noisy, conflicting, unpredictable complications,
chaotic organization and dirty bathrooms...
