Dropping a few hundred meters over a series of steps into the lake of Brienz, this scenic waterfall is the reason, why aparently alndscape painters used to hang out in this area so often that an enterpreneuring local figured out it might be a good idea to build an guest-house out there in the wilderness. The guest-house overtime evolved into the grand-hotel that is still there today - now mostly for retreats and events, since modern tourists now mostly seek activities and excitement and no longer relaxation by the sight of natural beauty. But the waterfall still makes for a spectacular backdrop when having dinner on the terrace.
