224 W20th St (7th & 8th) - Cafe

A new store opened recently in a hidden sleepy corner of 20th st, in the brownstone where a day spa was before. Fancy coffee shops really are nothing new since the 90ies, when Starbucks swept the world and got affluent Americans hooked on decent coffee - at the price of a cab fare. The new thing here is to bring the same concept to filter coffee. Freshly brewed, does not mean sitting in a thermos tank for 6 hours, but but really brewed on the spot with some high-tech coffee machine under the same kind of controlled conditions as a good espresso machine.

Together with boutique gourmet beans from high-end producers around the world, the result is an amazingly flavorful coffee, the way coffee should be!
