7th Ave & 18th St. - Bakery

I am happy to see the the latest edition of the high-end Belgian bakery/cafe franchise "Le Pain Quotidien" open just a few steps from my front door, instead of previously requiring long trips into far away parts of Manhattan. Having known about the only the locations in Soho and on the upper east-side since apparently pretty much the time it opened, I seemed to have missed its significant expansion in recent years. Visions of oven-fresh croissants and baguettes seem to take on shapes of reality - if only I were enough of a morning person to get up early enough to go get them rather than being generally too late for anything than rushing out of the door every morning.
