Surf Avenue & W8th st, Coney Island

Not as flashy and spectacular as other Aquariums, e.g. in Monterey, the setting of the NYC Aquarium is rather old and gritty like the rest of Coney Island's boardwalk and amusement park. Like all the Zoos in NYC, the aquarium also has a strong emphasis on educating and advocating on preservation. Much of it is outside, so it helps to be there on a nice day.
