Westside Loft - 336 W 37th

For a change, we went to one of those new years eve parties organized throughout town by various venues and/or event promoters. There very some glitches in the organization, e.g. the skimpy food buffet (or the absence thereof) nearly caused a revolt among the waiting guests. The saving grace was the band who more than made up for what wasn't going so well. In retrospect, I guess the best way to celebrate the new year would be in a small setting with a couple of friends, since most public events tend to be overpriced and anti-climactic when compared to a regular night.
