Eugene O'Neill Theater

A highly unusual musical adaptation indeed - much edgier than expected. Don't know how much of that impression is in the adaptation to this rather more surreal staging, with the actors playing instruments on stage fading in an out of character, into the background or acting as stage-hands re-arranging the sparse props on the set during the scenes. For somebody who usually doesn't like musicals this minimalist chamber play if definitely a very positive surprise!
