Apparition - an uneasy play of the underknown
Connelly Theater 220 E 4th St
We didn't pay for the tickets, and I hope nobody up on the mezzanine did
- since you couldn't really see much - other than the screens of the sound and
light operators to the left and right in front of us. A great loss for a play
that supposedly works on its spooky atmospheric vibes. The most remarkable event
was the steady stream of people leaving during the performance which should say
enough to recommend not opening up that balcony for the public - even if many
people up there might have had free tickets - it's still bad for the reputation!
Unfortunately, I didn't really see enough of the play to have much of an opinion
about it.
