Start by preparing your MINI.


    Items needed:
    a relatively flat area
    2 jack stands
    1 floor jack
    2 wheel chocks
    1 2x4 - approx 40 in - or long enough to fit between both jack points on the side of your MINI  (Mine is 41 1/2 inches and I have some wiggle room at each end)
        Place the 2x4 as far back under the door sill as possible.

        Note the wheel chocks in the background.
          Jack up the car - place the jack stands under each jacking point - then you can lower the floor jack.

          With this technique and 4 floor jacks you can very quickly raise all four wheels of your MINI off the ground.
