Seven operators from six US states gathered for the Buddipole Users on Montserrat DXpedition. I have been exploring the 100 Pound DXpedition ideas for a few years and this DXpedition put many, many of those ideas to the test. Operations were made from our villa, the beach, bicycle-mobile, and the Montserrat Volcano Observatory using lightweight transceivers and lightweight antennas, mostly based on the commercial Buddipole system.
The DXpedition did not concentrate so much on simply "filling the log." Instead, operators performed a number of experiments deploying equipment in a wide variety of terrains and circumstances. The trip was tremendously successful -- and fun! My call sign for this DXpedition was VP2MRD.

The DXpedition website has biographies, online logs, and other details from the trip.
