CHARACTER QUALIFICATIONS
I
believe that independence and self-motivation are my biggest
qualifications. I enjoy learning
new skills and am constantly trying to better myself. I also believe that I show great leadership. I have been involved in many programs
throughout my educational career.
I have been a participant in the Regional Youth Leadership Program and
the GovernorŐs Scholars Program. I
was a participant in Leadership Advantage—a program geared to help
engineering students entering college—the summer before my freshmen
year. I came back the next year to
be a facilitator for that program.
In addition, over the past four summers I spent a week as a counselor
for Camp Quality Kentucky; their mission is to remind kids affected by cancer
to be kids again. My most recent
endeavor has been to sit on the Academic Technology Committee at the University
of Louisville as the student representative. These are just a few examples of why I am qualified for the
position; I would welcome the chance to discuss these examples and more in
further detail.
