Indiana was a good state for watertowers. I get a sense that each of these towns has part of it's identity tied up in their watertower. It's a piece of local history that people know and remember, and visual clue to their home.

I love these older fat, round towers.

This is an example of an industrial tower serving a large manufacturing plant.


I couldn't get as close to this one as I wanted, but fortunately it was a big tower, and showed up OK.

The name is this town is pronounced wok-a-roosa. We had to ask to make sure.
